How often should a hospital carry out an Electrical safety audit?
Electrical safety audit may be carried out periodically based on changes in design or criticality of operations and services. In general, every hospital should carry out an Electrical safety audit at least once in a year. Hospital safety audit is a must for old as well as new hospitals irrespective of its size, complexity and location. As per NABH ( National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers ) 5 th edition standards, every hospital to carry out Electrical Safety Audit of their facility at least once in a year.
